Oscar Herbert Morgan was born in Little Munden, Hertfordshire, on 14th April 1883. By 1911, he had left home and was living in Surrey, where he married Edith Maud Rosam.

Oscar enlisted into the Royal West Surrey Regiment and was later transferred to the Labour Corps. For his war service, Oscar received the British War and Victory Medals.

In 1939, Oscar and Edith were living in Harrow, London, where Oscar worked as a jobbing gardener. He died in 1966 while living in the Watford area.
