Tim Eade and Emma Bartram were married in Macclesfield, Cheshire, in 1894. Within two years, they had moved to Wattisfield, Suffolk. Their first three children, Gladys, George and Gertrude, were born in the village.
In late 1900 or early 1901, the family moved to Wangford, Tim’s home village, where he worked as a blacksmith. The family moved once more to 11 Foundry Row on The Street, Melton, where Tim was employed at Page and Girling’s Ironworks. Two more children, James and Tim junior, were born in the village.
Tim and Emma, continued living in Foundry Row until they died: Tim in 1937 and Emma in 1946. Both are buried at Melton Old Church. In 1939, their son James was living in the house with his mother and working as a nursery gardener. He died in 1977 while living on Woods Lane.
